Connector
EPLAN-FactWork Connector
For more than 25 years, the company software "FactWork" has made a decisive contribution to improving the transparency and consistency of processes at medium-sized project and contract manufacturers - not least through continuous practice-oriented further development of the ERP system and the provision of corresponding interfaces and integration solutions.
The coupling of "FactWork" and EPLAN provides both the option of central maintenance of the complete article master in "FactWork" (including EPLAN-specific characteristics) and the division of the commercial and technical article information between the ERP system and EPLAN, with automatic connection of the two partial article masters. Even parts transferred from the "EPLAN Data Portal" are automatically inserted into the article masters(s) - according to the selected default setting.
The integration of "EPLAN" into the company software "FactWork" also enables the direct insertion of articles ("Insert device" command) into the corresponding circuit diagram - either from the "FactWork" or the EPLAN article master. In both cases, the parts list of the circuit diagram can be read directly from "FactWork" and the material contained therein can be planned and ordered immediately. This process can be repeated as often as required, according to the progress of the electrical design. This means that the added value of electrical planning is used immediately and directly for the procurement of the required material without any manual effort.
In summary, the integration of EPLAN into the ERP system "FactWork" contributes significantly to eliminating manual processes, simplifying the determination of requirements and - due to an earlier start of the procurement process - reducing the overall project duration.
